Salary: $25.00 Hourly Location : Mays Landing Campus, NJ Job Type: Part-Time Job Number: 202200411 Division: Academic Affairs Department: Workforce Development Opening Date: 02/25/2026 Closing Date: 3/11/2026 11:59 PM Eastern Examples of DutiesReports to Director, Adult Literacy and Integrated Education Programs Administers pre-testing and post-testing to participants Registers new participants and provides new student orientation Serves as the program's liaison for program participants and Atlantic Cape Community & provides coaching and support for participants' success Regularly communicates with participants and provides referrals to organizations outside the college Uses technology to facilitate & record student engagement and coaching Records student attendance in the required state database Assists in mitigating obstacles during enrollment Performs other related duties as assigned. Typical QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience 3-5 years experience in a mentoring or advising role Competencies and Skills Must be fluent in a another language other than English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) Technology skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Additional technology skills may include synchronous communications (examples: GoToMeeting, Skype, and Zoom) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Excellent customer service skills Ability to communicate in written and oral form Ability to work day, evening, or weekend hours as required Must be available to travel within the grant service area. Supplemental InformationTerms of Employment: This is a part-time, grant-funded position working up to 20 hours per week. Continuation is contingent upon the program's success and its funding source. This program is scheduled to end on June 30, 2026 This position may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location Paid sick leave in accordance with NJ Sick Leave Law Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the member's salary.
