Questions before applying? 785-966-3060 Role:Under the general supervision of the Road Maintenance Crew Lead, the Seasonal Asphalt Laborer will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of asphalt roads. As a Laborer you provide physical labor on a construction site. Under direct supervision, you will be expected to safely operate machinery and be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep. You will assist skilled trades as needed and load and unload deliveries to the work site. In addition, you will maintain a safe job site by removing any hazards. This is a seasonal position.To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Minimum Requirements:Experience: 2-5 years' experience in highway construction and/or maintenance including asphalt. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B. Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving. Knowledge of safely operating and maintaining heavy equipment and vehicles.Education: High School Diploma/GEDDriving: Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B and be insurable with the Nation's insurance.
