Assists leadership in the operation of the Front Office on assigned shifts. Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Assists with overseeing Front Office operations Provides training for new Front Desk Clerks and plays an active role in their continued development Maximizes hotel occupancy to attain projected revenue levels Ensures team is meeting guest satisfaction goals while adhering to established business plans Monitors the maintenance and security of the hotel's assets Assists with schedules, lunch breaks, and Team Member attendance records Answers incoming guest phone calls and transfers appropriately Oversees customer check-in, check-out, reservations, luggage transportation, and special requests according to established policies and procedures Establishes and maintains rapport cross-departmentally Communicates and reports on guest feedback including specific guest issues and actions taken or suggested actions to resolve the guest issue Maintains a clean and orderly working environment including both the front desk area and hotel lobby Functions as a Hotel Supervisor or Front Desk Clerk as needed Completes reports, auditing, and communication as needed or as assigned Adheres to professional appearance standards as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook Must meet attendance guidelines as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, And Experience: Required High School Diploma or GED One year of experience in a customer service-related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills Previous computer and cash handling experience Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, bi-lingual a plus A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment Preferred 2 years experience in the hospitality industry Prior Front Desk experience Physical, Mental, And Environmental Demands: Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a personal computer, a FAX machine, and a photocopier Able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned area Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations Able to stand and walk for 7-8 hours with breaks Must be able to meet the level three or medium work requirements based on the Department of Labor Dictionary of Titles: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly Indian Preference Exercised Prairie Band Casino & Resort reserves the right to make changes to the above job descriptions whenever necessary.
