This position is crucial for identifying theft, policy violations, procedural inconsistencies, and monitoring team productivity. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to lead in a neutral manner within a vibrant retail environment. Job Duties and Essential Functions Surveillance & Monitoring: Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems to detect theft, productivity issues, policy violations, and unsafe conditions. Review significant video footage and provide concise summaries to management, legal partners, or law enforcement. Assist associates in retrieving and reviewing video footage using camera systems. Conduct regular audits of surveillance tools to ensure camera functionality and compliance. Ticket Management: Handle assigned tickets promptly and accurately, meeting response goals and deadlines. Escalate complex or time-sensitive issues to the Surveillance Manager. Oversee the workflow of Surveillance Technicians' tickets when the manager is unavailable. Systems & Platform Support: Act as the primary contact with the alarm company in the absence of the manager. Keep an updated alarm user listing for all store locations and assist associates with alarm access. Input and track theft suspects in the case management platform, flagging patterns and linking related cases. Maintain the law enforcement portal, ensuring online reports can be filed and updated as necessary. Ensure all Surveillance Technicians maintain current case logs with complete and accurate data. Legal & Compliance: Assist in tracking and distributing subpoenas and legal documents promptly. Monitor restitution timelines for legal partners and escalate overdue items as needed. Training & Internal Support: Help train new Surveillance Technicians to ensure procedural consistency and readiness, adjusting shifts as necessary for support. Address store and customer inquiries regarding store policies and loss prevention procedures. Respond timely and professionally to requests from District Loss Prevention Specialists (DLPS) and store management. Financial Review & Awareness: Utilize specialized reports to audit financial transactions and identify discrepancies or suspicious activity. Development & Culture: Engage actively in training sessions, workshops, webinars, and other development opportunities. Other duties as assigned to support the Loss Prevention department and organizational objectives. Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. Highly organized with multitasking ability to manage ticket queues and prioritize tasks. Experience in training or mentoring staff within a team environment. Solid understanding of retail business practices. Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Keen organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Conduct that reflects integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes Physical Requirements: Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended periods. Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically. Ability to navigate all facilities efficiently. Effective verbal communication with others, both in-person and via electronic devices. Close vision for computer-related tasks. This position operates in a secure surveillance control room. May involve prolonged periods of sitting and monitoring video feeds. Must consistently uphold confidentiality and a high level of integrity. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour and is bonus eligible. The exact compensation will be determined by factors such as geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
