Responsibilities Transportation Supervisor Massillon, OH (Hybrid Schedule) The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the planning, directing, and coordinating all the activities related to Transportation Operations within the Shearer's organization. Your seat at the table: Ensure customer goods move from distribution warehouses through the supply chain to the end user. Participate in our annual RFP process. Assist with QBR's with our carriers. Creation and management of SOPs. Supervise scheduling of shipments and dock schedules. Development of team to ensure goals are achieved, behaviors are in line with corporate values and that leadership imperatives are developed. Take company standards and best practices and ensure execution through their team and development of metrics as needed to measure performance. Plan and implement freight within designated budgets. Generate carrier tracking & customer fulfillment reports as necessary. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges to help ensure orders are shipped on time. Track & optimize internal intercompany material costs. Management of the vacation and holiday schedule for Transportation team. Assist the Transportation Manager and Talent Acquisition team with new hire training. Assist with TMS performance goals and development planning for the Transportation team. Qualifications What you bring to the table: Three years of experience preferred in Transportation and or Supply Chain. Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field. Excellent skills in communication, including written, verbal and presentation skills. Excellent time management, organization, and leadership skills. Ability to drive process improvement and lead change. Understand the location-specific customer goals & objectives and work to meet and exceed these expectations daily. Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Strong technical/analytic/problem-solving skills a must.
