Join us and play a key role in keeping our production running smoothly and efficiently.Job SummaryThe Purchasing Manager is responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and services used in the production of sealants and adhesives. This role ensures a reliable supply of materials such as resins, silicones, additives, fillers, and solvents while maintaining cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and product quality standards. Forecast product demand and support production planning, while managing vendor onboarding, sourcing, negotiations, and supplier relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sourcing strategies for key raw materials including silicones, polymers, resins, fillers, plasticizers, and specialty additives Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers of chemical raw materials and packaging components Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term supply agreements to ensure cost competitiveness Monitor global supply markets for polymer-based materials and anticipate pricing or availability fluctuations Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials to meet production schedules and customer demand Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to approve new raw materials and suppliers Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, REACH, SDS requirements) Manage inventory levels, safety stock, and lead times for hazardous and non-hazardous materials Evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost, regulatory compliance) and drive continuous improvement Lead risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions (dual sourcing, inventory buffering, etc.) Oversee purchasing team and procurement processes, including purchase orders and vendor records Support new product development by sourcing innovative and cost-effective materials Develop and execute a raw material planning strategyRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in supply chain management, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field 5-8+ years of procurement experience in chemical, sealant, adhesive, or related manufacturing industry Strong knowledge of chemical raw materials and supply chains (e.g., silicones, urethanes, acrylics) Experience negotiating contracts with chemical suppliers and distributors Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems Understanding of hazardous material handling and regulatory requirements Preferred QualificationsExperience with global sourcing and import/export regulations Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM) Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles Proficient in Excel and Microsoft SuiteBackground working with xijylhu toll manufacturers or contract blending Key CompetenciesStrategic sourcing and cost control Supplier relationship and risk management Strong analytical and forecasting skills Cross-functional collaboration (R&D, production, QA) Regulatory awareness and compliance focus Working ConditionsOffice environment within a chemical manufacturing facility Regular interaction with production areas handling chemical materials Occasional travel to supplier plants, trade shows, or audits Must follow safety protocols when in production or storage areas Performance Metrics (KPIs)Raw material cost reduction and cost avoidance Supplier on-time delivery and quality performance Inventory turnover and material availability Reduction in supply chain disruptions Compliance with safety and environmental regulations Lead time and procurement cycle efficiency
