Facilities Maintenance Specialist BASIC FUNCTIONS: We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep of our Agency's facilities, equipment, and grounds. You will perform both repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, along with agency requirements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct general maintenance and repairs for buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and functional environment. Collaborate with supervisors and other staff members to address maintenance requests promptly and effectively. Create and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules that meet all regulatory requirements, including those related to Medicaid and health and safety. Assist in identifying projected maintenance needs and support the preparation of the annual maintenance budget. Monitor and manage the maintenance budget to ensure fiscal responsibility. Submit maintenance documentation and expense reports in compliance with agency and regulatory standards. Supervise and guide part-time staff and maintenance students, fostering a productive working environment. Participate in training development on maintenance-related topics as required by federal and agency standards. Engage in safety and health initiatives, including monitoring emergency plans and safety inspections. Attend required training and professional development sessions as directed by your supervisor. Be available for on-call duty during weekends and evenings on a rotating basis, if necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the maintenance department to comply with agency and OSHA standards. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the agency's goals. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess 0 to 5 years of experience in general maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment is essential. The ideal candidate is organized, able to work independently, and manage time effectively. Experience in budget development and management is preferred. A valid driver's license is required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This role may involve lifting moderate to heavy objects, working outdoors in various temperatures and weather conditions, as well as standing for extended periods. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment can vary based on assigned duties. The position is located in Urbana, OH. WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule must be flexible to accommodate the needs of the individuals served.
