Job Description:
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital in West Virginia.Job Details• Acute care hospital radiology department performing CT imaging for both adult and pediatric patient populations,• IR procedures are limited to adult patients only,• Equipment includes Canon/Toshiba CT scanners and Fuji Synapse PACS,• Epic EMR is used in this position,• No on-call requirements,• Travelers will not be scheduled on weekends or holidays,• 10-hour night shifts, Wednesday through Saturday, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM,• In-house radiologist coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM; on-call radiologist coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,• No lead tech on unit; department is supervised by a Radiology Director/Manager,Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required,• ARRT (CT) certification required; CT specialty certification preferred,• Current BLS (AHA) certification required,• WV state license required if applicable,• Proficiency with Epic EMR,• Must be able to start IVs,• Driver's license required for consideration,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,Additional Information• Performs CT exams across all imaging areas for adult and pediatric patients,• Radiation dosimetry badge must be provided by the staffing agency, as the facility does not supply one,• Black scrubs are required for all technologists in all modalities,• Orientation is generally up to 2 weeks depending on modality,• Candidates who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before returning,• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one cumulative year; a 2-year break is required before returning after reaching the one-year mark,• First-time travelers will be considered for this position,• 2 references are required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference and 1 peer or additional supervisor reference; if the candidate worked a permanent position in the last 12 months, one supervisor reference must be from that facility,• Skills checklist completed within the past year is required for consideration
