Meat Department Sanitation Associate Reports Directly to: Meat Department Manager Job Objective: This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to join our team! As a Meat Department Sanitation Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the Meat Manager and Meat Cutter by ensuring our meat products are presented in a clean and inviting environment. Your efforts will directly contribute to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. Major Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and thanking every customer. Assist the Meat Manager with product pulls and rotation as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Thoroughly clean all meat display cases, including the front, top, and back, on a daily basis. Organize wrapping supplies to ensure efficiency. Adhere to company policies, including dress code and wearing a name tag. Basic Functions and Physical Requirements: This role involves medium work that requires good corrected vision and hearing. You should be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 60 lbs on occasion and handle frequent lifting of 25-60 lbs. Constant activity may involve exerting 10-20 lbs of force while moving products. You will need dexterous use of both hands and the ability to stand, kneel, and move between workstations. Familiarity with knives and sharp instruments for food preparation is necessary, along with the ability to work safely on potentially slippery floors.
