Make Your Mark at Prysmian Group - Join Us Overview: This position reports to the Distribution Center Coordinator as part of the plant's Supply Chain team and is responsible for ensuring all processes for outbound freight are managed properly at the Marshall facility. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Review open sales orders (including subcontracting and bill-not-ship orders) and plan shipments based on product availability and requested delivery date * Use system to design truckloads that make efficient use of space, freight lanes, and delivery sequence * Prepare correct documentation for third-party logistics partner and interact with them as needed to get correct equipment ordered for the correct date and time * Prepare accurate shipping paperwork such as Bills of Lading, Packing Slips, and customs forms * Adjust daily truck loading schedules, shipping paperwork, product tags, etc. as needed * Ensure proper number of wood reels get shipped with subcontracting orders * Review various discrepancies that could prevent timely shipping (sales blocks, inventory blocks, reel serial number discrepancies, reel count discrepancies, etc.) and resolve, engaging other as needed * Ensure customer return process is executed accurately in the system * Secure proper approvals for freight charges Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Self-managed work style, with attention to details * Understanding of customer needs with a focus on exceeding customer expectations * Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a broad audience ranging from executives to blue collar team members * Demonstrates a willingness to learn by assisting in other areas of Marshall's Supply Chain Qualifications: * At least three years' experience in a demanding manufacturing, retail, or logistics environment is required * Demonstrated ability to calculate space and weight requirements is required * High degree of computer skills such as Microsoft Office and ERP systems is preferred Work Environment/Physical Demands: * Fast-paced and hectic work environment where speed, accuracy, and multi-tasking is required routinely * Regular electronic interaction with Inside Sales Representatives, corporate Supply Chain team, third-party logistics team, and external dispatchers * Regular in-person interaction with Distribution Center team, other plant team members, and truck drivers * Job can require unexpected overtime depending on the daily needs and volume Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
