Job Description:
This is a temporary position within the Human Resources Team, focused on Recruiting & Talent Acquisition. The Recruiting HR Intern will assist in sourcing talent, screening applicants, and supporting hiring efforts across Runnings locations. As a growing home, farm, and outdoor retailer with a large multi-state footprint, Runnings depends on strong recruiting processes to support store staffing and corporate hiring needs. This internship provides hands-on experience for students interested in HR careers, especially those exploring recruiting, staffing, and candidate experience. The intern will work both independently and with the HR team on meaningful projects that contribute directly to Runnings Hiring operations. This is a part time position with a flexible starting date at the end of the spring semester that will last through the end of summer. Based on business needs and internship performance, this position has the potential to transition into a permanent role at the end of the internship. Pay Range: Starting at $17.00/hrEssential Functions and Responsibilities: Assist with posting job openings and maintaining job board listings. Review applications, screen resumes, and help coordinate candidate interviews. Communicate professionally with applicants and hiring managers to support store and corporate recruiting needs. Maintain accurate applicant tracking data within UKG or other recruiting systems. Assit in developing recruiting materials, interview guides, and SOPs. Conduct research on talent sourcing trends, candidate markets, and competitive hiring practices. Participate in projects aimed at improving recruiting efficiency and candidate experience. Promote Runnings employment brand through materials and outreach. Support general HR administrative responsibilities including file management and document preparation. Always maintain strict confidentiality. Perform other HR related duties as assigned. Education, Training and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Must be enrolled in and actively pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field.
