The Power Electronics Technician provides field service of Data Center support equipment, including UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Systems, Inverters, Batteries, Power Distribution Equipment, and Monitoring Systems. What you'll do:Provide battery and equipment replacement when necessary. Servicing equipment that includes Uninterruptible Power Supply, DC plants, and batteries (VRLA, Wet Cell, and Lithium Ion). Perform quality control and site inspections. Analyze test data and recognize deviation from acceptable values. Provide ongoing customer support and meet customer service requirements. Extensive daily travel with an independent work structure. Work varied shifts to support our 7/24/365-day operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and serve on a rotating on-call team to respond to emergency calls. What you'll bring:High School Diploma or GED. Formal training and/or experience maintaining and repairing power electronics equipment (ABB, APC, Eaton, Eltek, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Vertiv). 4+ years of experience working on UPS systems. Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) 10 or 30 training certificate or willing to obtain. Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to discern color. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
