Job Description Regulatory Compliance Officer: The Regulatory Compliance Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring that our bank consistently adheres to compliance standards across various departments. This position focuses on training, monitoring reviews, policy development, and product oversight while upholding bank protection laws and regulations. The officer conducts regular assessments to guarantee the effectiveness of our compliance management system. Regulatory Compliance Officer Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Preferred certifications: CRCM and/or CAMS 7 to 10 years of banking experience with 3 to 5 years specifically in compliance Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; capable in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; familiar with industry-related software Excellent data analysis skills Deep understanding of compliance laws and regulations including consumer protection laws, TRID-RESPA, UDAAP, FCRA, HMDA, etc. Comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, CRA, and related regulations is essential. Regulatory Compliance Officer Responsibilities: Maintain current knowledge of BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations, along with all compliance mandates impacting the bank. Utilize monitoring applications, maintain investigation files, and perform periodic compliance assessments. Prepare BSA/AML Risk Assessments by evaluating the bank’s risk profile and identifying areas for enhanced control measures. Oversee the preparation, research, and submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs). Participate in the Compliance Committee and the IT Steering Committee. Coordinate and monitor BSA training and other compliance training for Board members and employees. Engage with Examiners and Auditors concerning the BSA program and overall compliance. Review all projects related to BSA and compliance to ensure regulatory adherence. Monitor the effectiveness of the Identity Theft Program and report updates to the Board of Directors. Oversee regulatory compliance of all bank policies and procedures, ensuring timely updates and changes in response to new regulations. Review all disclosures for compliance with Federal and State regulations, including product and service disclosures and advertising materials. Conduct thorough due diligence on new Money Services Business (MSB) applications and direct ongoing monitoring efforts based on risk assessment.
