Job Description Mechanical Engineer Join a hands-on heavyequipment manufacturer as a Mechanical Engineer responsible for endtoend machine and system design, from concept through production support. Work closely with production, vendors, and customers to deliver robust, manufacturable equipment used in industrial applications. Key Responsibilities Develop 3D models, detailed assembly, weldment and part drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD following standard drafting practices. Design complete systems (preferred) and ensure parts integrate into manufacturable assemblies. Support fabrication and machining processes (CNC plasma cutting, machining, welding) through producibility reviews and shop collaboration. Manage project budgets, schedules, vendors, and internal teams to meet delivery targets. Interface with customers to define specifications, present design reviews, and incorporate feedback. Prepare operations, maintenance, and assembly documentation / manuals. Drive continuous improvement by applying new technologies, specifying fasteners, and documenting welding procedures. Provide engineering support for installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting as needed. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD with strong drafting and detailing skills. Experience with weldment design, assemblies, and manufacturing methods in a fabrication shop environment. Project management experience and ability to coordinate crossfunctional teams. Strong communicator comfortable with customer interaction and vendor management. Pluses (optional) Experience with hydraulics, electrical control systems, or PLC programming. Prior work in heavy equipment or industrial machinery environments.
