Students, faculty, and industry professionals collaborate to develop real-world competencies, aligning with the dynamic needs of the job market.The mission of the Maverick Innovation Gateway is to bridge gaps in critical thinking, innovation, and professional skills. It offers an interdisciplinary ecosystem for hands-on learning, enabling direct engagement with faculty and industry experts. The Maverick Innovation Gateway focuses on developing high-demand professional skills and competencies to advance learners at all stages of their careers.The Director of the Maverick Innovation Gateway at Minnesota State University Mankato will oversee operations, work to leverage the university's academic expertise and the diverse resources of the Mankato region and, secure high-impact programs,competency-based training programs, and innovation incubating to use the space.The Director of the Maverick Innovation Gateway will also be responsible for overseeing the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship whose mission is to facilitate the launch of the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, and dynamic organizations through education, research, and outreach. **Minimum Qualifications*** Demonstrated ability to handle and process sensitive and confidential information.* Ability to travel throughout Minnesota, including the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.* An MBA or Master’s degree in a related field (conferred on an official transcript at the time of application) and a minimum of three years of experience in business development, regional economic development, business consulting, and/or other relevant industry experience.**OR**A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (conferred on an official transcript at the time ofapplication) and a minimum of five years of experience in business development, regionaleconomic development, business consulting, and/or relevant industry experience.**Preferred Qualification*** Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.* Demonstrated ability to develop work/project plans for large projects.* Experience in networking and negotiating to develop and implement contracts.* Experience in strategic planning, implementation and assessment of programs or services.* Strong written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated abilities to communicate effectively with many different constituents – including students, faculty, staff, administrators and external stakeholders.**APPLICATION PROCEDURES:**A complete online application will include the following attachments.
