Private family seeks an exceptionally polished, hospitality-focused Butler / Cook to support the day-to-day operations, service, and upkeep of their New York City and Hamptons residences. This is a highly hands-on role for a service-oriented professional who takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming, impeccably maintained home environment while providing elevated front-of-house support and light cooking assistance.This role is primarily based in New York City with a Hamptons extension during the summer season. The candidate will provide hospitality support, light cooking and meal preparation, housekeeping assistance, and overall household operations across both residences throughout the year. The typical schedule will consist of Thursday through Monday, with flexibility required based on the family's entertaining needs, travel, and seasonal demands. Live-in accommodations will be provided during the Hamptons summer season.This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a hospitality-minded professional seeking a collaborative and respectful household environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, discreet, proactive, and genuinely enjoys hospitality and household service. Candidates should possess a "no task too big or too small" mentality and thrive in a collaborative household environment. This position requires someone equally comfortable assisting with formal and informal service, preparing light meals and meal prep, maintaining household organization and cleanliness, and stepping in wherever needed to support the family and household staff.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Hospitality & Front-of-House ServiceProvide polished yet warm hospitality service for family members and guestsAssist with formal and informal meal service, entertaining, and special gatheringsMaintain guest-facing spaces to impeccable standards and anticipate household needsSupport the household team wherever needed during busy periods and eventsHousekeeping, Household & General SupportMaintain overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the residencesAssist with housekeeping tasks including tidying, laundry coordination, organization, and household upkeepEnsure kitchens, pantries, and common areas remain clean, stocked, and guest-readyAssist with seasonal transitions between NYC and Hamptons residencesSupport household logistics including deliveries, vendor access, errands, and occasional chauffeuringCooking & Meal PreparationPrepare light meals, breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and simple family-style dinnersAssist with meal prep, grocery organization, pantry management, and kitchen upkeepSupport food service and entertaining needsAdditional butler and housekeeping responsibilities and needed and requestedRequirements:Strong command of English language; outstanding writing and verbal skillsExcellent references from both current and former employersPrior experience working within a private household, luxury hospitality, yacht, club, or similar high-service environment requiredHigh level of discretion, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and commitment to confidentialityStrong hospitality and service instincts with a polished yet approachable demeanorComfortable performing a combination of service, housekeeping, cooking, and household support responsibilitiesExperience with formal and informal table service preferredAbility to prepare healthy, simple, high-quality meals and assist with meal prepHighly organized, proactive, and detail-orientedFlexible, adaptable, and team-oriented with a positive attitudeStrong communication skills and ability to take direction wellValid Driver's License; confident driver with zero pointsComfortable working in both NYC and Hamptons environments with seasonal schedule shiftsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employerCompensation: $120,000-$140,000 annually, commensurate with experienceBenefits: Healthcare stipend/benefits package, PTO, and additional benefits to be discussed
