Responsibilities Hazard Management & Intervention Coordinate, collect, disseminate, and intervene in a manner that anticipates, prevents, identifies, evaluates, and controls environmental hazards. Regulatory Compliance & Readiness Maintain continuous survey readiness through strict compliance with various regulatory agencies and the interpretation of regulations for policy creation. EOC & Program Implementation Implement and maintain the Environment of Care (EOC) program, covering fire safety, hazardous materials, security, waste, utilities, and emergency management. Risk Analysis & Mitigation Monitor potential hazards, participate in root/apparent cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions while maintaining documentation of all findings. Leadership & Education Lead emergency coordination (EC) rounding activities, facilitate EC/EM related education, and oversee EOC/EM Committee(s). Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Certification specializing in Health Safety preferred. Certification credentialed from the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers (BCHCM). Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
