Are you passionate about the outdoors? The Seasonal Maintenance position supports the upkeep and appearance of park grounds and facilities. In this role, you will enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for visitors. Your role could include working marina services and operations or around equine operations area. Because ND State Parks are open to visitors 24/7, you may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts. All applications will be reviewed and scored on a weekly basis until all positions are filled. Seasonal housing may be available! Duties and Tasks Key Duties & Responsibilities: •Perform routine maintenance of park facilities and grounds, including restrooms, picnic areas, shelters, campgrounds, trails, and common outdoor spaces •Mow lawns; trim, rake, weed, and clear vegetation; and maintain landscaped areas such as flower beds •Maintain park trails by clearing debris, trimming vegetation, and completing light repairs •Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables throughout the park to keep areas clean and presentable •Assist with minor repairs to buildings, fences, signs, and park equipment •Operate and maintain hand tools and groundskeeping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles, following safety procedures •Set up and take down signage, barricades, and equipment for events or seasonal needs •Monitor park grounds for safety hazards and report issues to supervisors •Support other park staff during emergencies, special events, or high-traffic periods •Interact courteously and respectfully with park visitors and provide basic information when needed What You'll Gain: • Hands-on work experience promoting responsible park use • Opportunity to build teamwork, responsibility, and job skills • Experience working in a public-facing, outdoor environment Physical Requirements: •Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks Minimum Qualifications •Interest in outdoor work and willingness to perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions •Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team •Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits •Valid driver's license is preferred •16+ years of age •Ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds •Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts About Team ND "Far and away the best prize life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." - Theodore Roosevelt More than 7,500 talented, hard-working people across sixty-three agencies have come together as Team North Dakota.
