Job Title: Basebuild (CSA) SuperintendentLocation: Manassas, VAIndustry: Semiconductor Manufacturing / Advanced Technology ConstructionEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewThe Basebuild (CSA) Superintendent is responsible for field execution and oversight of all Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) scopes on a semiconductor manufacturing facility (fab) construction project. This role ensures that basebuild work"”including site development, concrete, structural steel, building envelope, and architectural systems"”is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in strict compliance with quality standards and project specifications.This position plays a critical role in coordinating CSA work with tool install, MEP systems, and cleanroom construction in a highly technical, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily field operations for all CSA activities including earthwork, foundations, structural systems, exterior enclosure, and architectural finishesCoordinate subcontractors, trades, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedule milestonesCollaborate closely with project management, engineering, and other superintendents (MEP, cleanroom, tool install) to manage interface pointsEnforce strict safety standards and promote a zero-incident culture in accordance with company and site-specific safety programsMonitor work quality and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and semiconductor facility standardsDrive schedule performance by identifying constraints, mitigating risks, and implementing recovery plans when neededConduct daily site walks, inspections, and coordination meetings with subcontractorsReview and manage look-ahead schedules (3-week / 6-week planning)Support constructability reviews and proactively identify design or coordination issuesMaintain accurate field documentation including daily reports, RFIs, and progress trackingEnsure readiness for inspections, testing, and commissioning activities related to CSA scopeAssist in turnover and handoff processes to downstream trades and systems teamsQualifications8-15+ years of construction experience, with a strong focus on CSA scopesProven experience as a Superintendent on large-scale industrial, semiconductor, or advanced technology projectsDemonstrated experience working on semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, or mission-critical facilities strongly preferredDeep knowledge of concrete, structural steel, building envelope systems, and architectural finishesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BIM modelsStrong leadership, coordination, and communication skillsExperience managing multiple subcontractors in a fast-track construction environmentFamiliarity with Lean construction practices and pull planning is a plusOSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain)Preferred ExperiencePrior work on semiconductor fab projects or similar high-tech manufacturing facilitiesExperience with highly controlled environments, including vibration, cleanliness, and precision tolerancesExposure to integrated project delivery (IPD) or design-build delivery methodsProficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6)
