To support this mission, Syngenta's Operations & Trialing Team is seeking a Facility Lead in Malta, IL. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility operations, maintenance, and management. The Facility Lead will ensure that the organization's facilities are safe, efficient, and conducive to productivity. The role involves strategic planning, budget management, team leadership, and the implementation of best practices in facility management. Accountabilities: * Direct 24/7 facility operations of R&D centers, such as strategic planning, capital improvements, and budget management to ensure optimal functionality and organizational alignment. * Lead facilities staff and manage vendor relationships, such as performance management, contract negotiations, and partnership with Procurement on pricing arrangements. * Oversee comprehensive maintenance programs, space utilization, renovations, and construction projects across all facilities. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes while maintaining robust security protocols. * Drive sustainability initiatives and energy management programs to optimize operational efficiency and environmental impact. * Serve as primary point of contact for facility matters, managing stakeholder communications and reporting to senior management.
