Transportation And Logistics Coordinator The Transportation And Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing all trucking dispatches to meet customer expectations, which includes coordinating inbound and outbound transportation movements, and all responsibility for logistical issues associated with transportation. The incumbent is also responsible for maximizing the Company's profitability through transportation rationalization. The Transportation And Logistics Coordinator will coordinate with the Customer Service team to process customer orders, acknowledgements and consumer complaints. This key position is responsible for maintaining Pasta Montana's food safety, quality and legality program under the BRC guidelines. Pasta Montana employees are expected to maintain a positive work atmosphere through communication and behaving in a manner that is courteous and respectful to all customers, vendors, contractors, co-workers, leads and management. Employment is contingent upon completing and passing pre-employment drug test Salary: Non-Exempt $75,000 - $90,000 Annually Essential Job Functions Coordinates all trucking dispatch to meet customer deliveries and ensure a superior level of customer satisfaction. Maximizes profitability by monitoring transportation expenses and implementing cost saving strategies. Coordinates with Customer Service team and Scheduler/Planner to ensure customer order delivery commitments will be maintained. Works closely with Customer Service team to ensure customer communications occur for customer shortages or responses are provided for all customer complaints. Serves as backup for Customer Service personnel in the event of their absence. Negotiates with transportation carriers to ensure the lowest outbound transportation costs, while maintaining quality of service. Communicate with transportation companies to ensure that delivery dates and appointment times are accurate and achieved. Ensures adherence to local, state, federal and international shipping laws and safety protocols. Maintains certifications and documentation for Canada and Mexico border crossings. Works closely with Warehouse Manager and shipping dock personnel to ensure proper loading configurations and optimal utilization of trailers. Monitors weekly conformance to delivery commitment. Provides daily and weekly reports of all short shipments. Supports the Warehouse Manager to ensure coordination between production schedules and shipping schedules. Identifies and resolves (through team efforts) all logistical issues associated with transportation. Assists Warehouse personnel in managing transfers to and from offsite warehouse locations. Keeps daily schedule of inbound and outbound transportation. Responsible for import transportation processes for inbound machinery shipments from overseas vendors. Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer. Qualifications Minimum Education: 2-years of post-secondary education in business or trucking, or equivalent qualifications. Minimum Experience: 3 years Transportation experience. Knowledge of inventory processes. Experience in data entry, scheduling, dispatch and delivery. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work independently and efficiently while prioritizing multiple responsibilities. Ability to learn manufacturing, quality control, and planning processes. Requires excellent written, oral and telephone communication skills. Good mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to work cooperatively with others. The ability to work cooperatively with management and all staff is imperative. Must have good organizational skills and consistently exercise good judgment. Able to communicate effectively and function as a motivated team member in a highly dynamic team setting. Able to learn, troubleshoot and multi-task. Other Qualifications: Efficient in the use of computer automated systems and software, including spreadsheets, scheduling and databases. Attention to detail is essential.
