We are seeking a detail-oriented Return to Work Specialist to join our HR Shared Services team. This role is pivotal in managing leave of absence (LOA) and return-to-work clearances, ensuring a seamless experience for our team members while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. This is a Temp-to-Perm contingent position. While the initial phase is remote, candidates must be local to Maitland, FL, as the role transitions to a hybrid schedule (Onsite M, W, Th) upon permanent conversion. salary: $21 - $25 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: Bachelors Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Case Management: Act as a subject matter expert for return-to-work and leave administration, managing a busy caseload and responding to inquiries via phone and email. Compliance & Policy: Administer procedures related to FMLA, ADAAA, USERRA, and HIPAA. Identify unauthorized leaves and refer complex cases to Employee Relations. Liaison Services: Serve as the primary point of contact between managers, team members, and 3rd-party leave vendors. Documentation: Process in-house leave requests, evaluate eligibility, and maintain accurate records in HCM/CRM systems. Process Improvement: Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance team efficiency and service levels. Required: Education: Bachelor's degree OR 4+ years of relevant experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Communication: strong verbal and written communication skills with a talent for de-escalating sensitive situations. Preferred: Experience: Previous experience in a large employer setting with complex leave programs. Systems: Familiarity with PeopleSoft (HCM) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools. Knowledge: Deep understanding of DOL, IRS, and OSHA regulations regarding employee benefits.
