Title : Human Resources ManagerReports to : Human Resources Director Location: Magnolia, ArkansasPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on Human Resources Manager to support a newly acquired company, unionized manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for leading HR at the site level while acting as a strategic business partner to operations leadership and a trusted resource for both hourly and salaried employees. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with proven labour relations expertise, experience managing change in high-turnover environments, union experience and working in a multi-site environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong bias for action, accountability, integrity, and the ability to think like an owner. A visible presence on the manufacturing floor, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization are essential for success in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations Maintain a strong and consistent presence on the shop floor to support employee engagement and operational effectiveness. Build credibility and trust with both production employees and office staff. Provide coaching and guidance to managers and supervisors on employee relations matters and performance management. Promote a positive workplace culture focused on accountability, communication, safety, and respect. Union ManagementServe as the primary HR lead for all union and labour relations matters. Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements and ensure compliance with labour legislation and company policies. Support grievance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Participate in union meetings, negotiations, and labour strategy discussions in partnership with leadership. Foster productive working relationships with union representatives and employees. HR Operations & ComplianceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, labour standards, and internal policies. Oversee/Own HR processes including performance management, attendance management, investigations, and employee development. Maintain HR metrics and provide reporting and analysis to management.Support team with ADP Payroll. Collaborate with corporate and global HR teams on company-wide initiatives and best practices. Recruitment & TrainingLead recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried positions in a high-turnover manufacturing environment. Develop and implement retention strategies to improve employee engagement and workforce stability. Support onboarding, training, and workforce planning initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 4-7 years of progressive HR experience within a unionized manufacturing environment. Strong labour relations and collective bargaining experience required. Strong knowledge of employment legislation, labour relations practices, and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently, influence leaders, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
