This direct hire opportunity offers an advanced clinical role focused on pediatric hematology and oncology pharmacy practice, specializing in CAR-T therapy and Bone Marrow Transplant at an award-winning pediatric hospital in the Madera, CA area. The pharmacist will play a critical role in delivering safe and effective pharmaceutical care to neonates through young adults. Responsibilities include reviewing physician orders, monitoring drug therapy outcomes, providing pharmacology consultation, and supporting a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This position supports FACT accreditation and involves training pharmacy students and residents, emphasizing advanced pediatric inpatient pharmacy practice. Typical work schedule consists of 10-hour mixed shifts, primarily during the day, with some weekends and limited evenings or overnights. The inpatient pharmacy operates 24/7, requiring flexible shift coverage to ensure efficient medication dispensing. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (required) Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program preferred PGY2 specialization in Oncology highly preferred Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) preferred Current California Pharmacist license (RPH - CA-SBP) PALS certification within 12 months of hire (required) BLS certification within 30 days of hire (required) ACLS certification encouraged for certain shifts Minimum 2 years pediatric oncology experience preferred Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology and drug distribution Experience supporting hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) including CAR-T and bone marrow transplant protocols Additional Details: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records Commitment to ongoing education and staff development Benefits: Relocation assistance available Student loan reimbursement offered This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact pediatric patient outcomes through specialized oncology pharmacy services within a supportive and dynamic hospital setting.
