HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Norco, LA is looking for a Class A Roll-Off Driver to join their safety conscious team at a customer site! The Class A Roll Off Driver is responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), hazardous waste (HAZMAT) and Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations. Competitive wages Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment Group 401K with company matching component Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement Positive and safe work environments Work Schedule: 7 Days - Rotating Schedule (Days/Nights) RESPONSIBILITIESKey Responsibilities: Responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste (tank, van, and/or roll-off dump trailer) from a generator/facility to a company facility and/or an outside disposal facility adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste (HAZMAT) regulations; communicate regularly with Coordinators regarding daily times and demurrage. Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.); Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment. Responsible for maintaining daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports. Maintain and clean assigned Company equipment as well as ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills and Experience: Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs; Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations; Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A and other requirements of company’s driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business; Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers. 1+ year(s) of experience driving a roll-off vehicle.
