The position requires dedication to providing high-quality patient care during 12-hour night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.Key Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Unit.Assess and address patient clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.Maintain a safe and aseptic environment using clinical equipment and instrumentation.Demonstrate leadership by prioritizing, delegating, and potentially assuming charge nurse duties.Respond promptly to on-call requirements within a 30-minute timeframe.Participate in the Association of Operating Room Nursing Peri-operative 101 Education Program if recent OR experience is lacking.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.Current NYS RN license or eligibility.BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.Minimum one year of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient care standards.Ability to function effectively in stressful situations with creative problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities.Experience with clinical equipment used in OR/ASU settings.Proficiency in lethal dysrhythmia interpretation.Leadership abilities, including charge nurse responsibilities, are highly valued.Schedule:12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM.Weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities included.About Lowville, NY:Lowville is a charming community nestled in a picturesque region known for its natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere.
