About the National Conversation (ONC) Our students write articles, host podcasts and sponsor events. We even wrote a book! We keep things civil at all times. Republicans, Democrats, Independents - all are welcome at ONC. We strive to answer, "What do we want to do about this?" By focusing on solutions we rise above the stale blame game. Our goal is to become a trusted source of fair, accurate, balanced information about politics and public policy. Young people are inheriting a troubled world and we are developing America's future leaders, equipping them with the skills they need as they take it from here. Over 900 interns from across the U.S. have participated so far. Experienced mentors gently guide our students. You can find us at //Volunteer Fundraising Responsibilities Work with two student fundraisers to identify and approach prospective funders. Assist in developing and executing fundraising strategies to reach a large pool of potential donors. Attend weekly virtual meetings on Thursday at 1"¯p.m."¯PST via Zoom (no more than one hour). Use Slack, Zoom and Google Drive to communicate and collaborate. Qualifications 3-4 volunteers with real fundraising experience. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently outside the mandatory meeting time. Compensation & Commitment We are a 501(c)(c) nonprofit and will pay success fees for monies raised. Volunteer hours are flexible; only one mandatory weekly meeting is required. Experience here may lead to future paid opportunities or a permanent role if fundraising goals are met. #J-18808-Ljbffr
