This role will partner with external agencies to develop and deliver high-quality, on-brand content, while also creating supporting in-house assets to drive engagement and amplify key campaigns. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of social trends, content development, and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to translate marketing objectives into impactful social storytelling. This role may be leveled as a Senior Specialist based on years of experience and demonstrated expertise.What You'll DoExecute and support social media strategies that align with broader marketing campaigns, product launches, and key business prioritiesServe as the primary point of contact for social media agency partners, managing day-to-day communication, timelines, and deliverablesDevelop comprehensive content briefs and creative direction to guide agency-led content production, ensuring alignment with brand voice and campaign objectivesReview and provide actionable feedback on agency deliverables, maintaining high standards for creativity, quality, and brand consistencyOversee the social content pipeline and production workflow, ensuring seamless coordination between internal stakeholders and external partnersTranslate marketing initiatives into clear, platform-native content plans and storytelling approachesCreate supporting owned media content in-house (approximately 20-30% of total output), including ideation and light production across formats (static, short-form video, Stories, etc.)Identify opportunities for real-time, reactive, or supplemental content to enhance campaign moments and community engagementManage day-to-day social media operations, including content scheduling, publishing, and platform maintenanceActively engage with the community by monitoring and responding to comments, DMs, mentions, and tags in a timely, brand-appropriate mannerBuild and maintain social content calendars, ensuring consistency and alignment with marketing prioritiesPartner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging and executionMonitor content performance, social trends, and community sentiment, and provide insights and recommendations to optimize future content and creative directionStay informed on beauty, cultural, and platform trends to continuously evolve the brand's social presenceAll other duties as requiredPreferred Qualifications (Tools & Platforms)Experience with social media management and publishing tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later)Familiarity with native platform tools and analytics (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Studio, Meta Business Suite)Proficiency in content creation and editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)Experience using social listening and reporting tools to monitor performance, trends, and community sentimentWorking knowledge of project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, , Slack)Basic understanding of social performance metrics and reporting, with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required3-4 years of relevant experience in social media, digital marketing, or content production; omni-channel retail experience strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to translate marketing objectives into engaging, platform-native social contentExperience creating quick-turnaround, in-house social assets (static, short-form video, GIFs, Stories) using industry-standard editing tools, with strong editing and production skillsExcellent written communication skills, with a strong eye for grammar, tone, and brand voice consistencyHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage external partners effectivelyCreative thinker with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownershipFlexible and responsive, with availability to support evenings and weekends during key campaigns, events, or high-traffic periods as neededEqual Employment Opportunity StatementCJ Olive Young USA, Inc is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
