Olympia Convalescent Hospital - Olympia Convalescent Hospital in Korea Town, CA is looking for a Director of Staff Development! (MUST BE AN LVN) Come join our winning team!! MUST HAVE SKILLED NURSING HOME EXPERIENCE Full time Pay: $53 - $56 per hour DOE   Job Summary As Director of Staff Development, you would provide the necessary orientation, educational and learning opportunities within a supportive environment that will assist personnel in gaining knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively. Our DSD monitors the activities of nursing personnel to ensure quality care that complies with state, federal and corporate standards. He/She also directs the infection prevention and control program and its activities. We are looking for candidates who model a positive and professional image that emulates the organization's mission and encourages a spirit of cooperation with co-workers. We need team members who provide assistance to co-workers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results. Qualifications • Current CA DSD Certification, CPR/1st Aid and LVN licensure (to be maintained as active and in good standing during employment) • Min. 2 year supervisory experience in a SNF, acute care or hospital environment preferred. • Strong leadership and interpersonal relationship. • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all facility staff members.
