Pharmacist - Los Angeles, CA

A full-time Pharmacist position is available on a contract-to-hire basis with an emphasis on clinical pharmacy and bilingual capabilities. Location: Los Angeles, CA (Van Nuys area) Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Temp-to-Perm) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Rotating every 3rd Saturday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Key Responsibilities: Dispense and verify approximately 250 prescriptions daily ensuring accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance Conduct comprehensive clinical medication reviews focusing on appropriateness, interactions, dosing, and therapeutic outcomes Provide extensive patient counseling, with a strong focus on diabetes management (including insulin use, injectables, continuous glucose monitors, oral agents, and lifestyle guidance) Perform clinical assessments and monitor chronic disease states, particularly in a large diabetic patient population Collaborate with prescribers to optimize therapy and patient outcomes Identify and address medication-related issues and adherence barriers Oversee pharmacy workflow to maintain a patient-centered, quality care environment Qualifications and Desired Experience: Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an accredited Pharmacy School Active and clear California Pharmacist License 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred Experience in diabetic clinical assessment is a plus Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, strong clinical judgment, and dedication to quality care This role suits a pharmacist who is patient-focused, confident in diabetes management, and eager to build a future within a supportive healthcare team.
