R&D Formulator - Gummy Manufacturing

We are Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified and FDA-registered. TrustWorks is currently seeking an ambitious, solutions-oriented, and creative individual to join our growing team. We are specifically looking for an individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in gummy manufacturing. What you'll doTranslate customer product goals into working gummy formulas "” ingredients, ratios, textures, flavors, and dosage formsDevelop and iterate at lab/benchtop scale, then scale up to full production runs with minimal reworkWork with syrups, pectins, gelatin, active ingredients, and specialty materials including vitamins, botanicals, and oilsTroubleshoot formulation issues "” texture, moisture, set time, flavor masking, overage calculationsInitiate and complete batch records, ensuring full compliance with GMP and quality documentation standardsMaintain clear R&D documentation including batch records, formulas, and revision historyCollaborate with QA and production to ensure formulas meet GMP standards and customer specsWhat we're looking forMinimum 2 years of hands-on gummy formulation experience in a dietary supplement or confection manufacturing environmentSolid understanding of gummy systems "” pectin vs. gelatin, syrup types, Brix, pH, depositing, and curingExperience calculating and applying vitamin and mineral overagesComfortable working from benchtop scale all the way through production-scale troubleshootingFamiliarity with 21 CFR Part 111 and GMP documentation practicesDetail-oriented with strong documentation habits "” if it's not written down, it didn't happenNice to haveExperience with specialty ingredients "” probiotics, botanicals, fish/algal oils, or heat-sensitive activesBackground in flavor systems and color maskingExposure to vegan/pectin-based and sugar-free gummy systemsBenefits3 weeks PTO with the ability to earn more each yearFriendly, fun, and welcoming environment "” we genuinely care that our team enjoys coming to workCompetitive payReal growth and career opportunities as we expandAccess to free supplements
