This posting is for a dual-level Training Coordinator position and will be filled at either the Training Coordinator 2 or Training Coordinator 3 level, depending on qualifications and experience. Training Coordinator 2 $53,700 - $82,500 The Training Coordinator provides training coordination and administrative support to the ESHQ Training Delivery Team. Responsibilities include scheduling courses and classrooms, managing registrations, maintaining training records, supporting high-volume training inboxes, and providing customer service via phone and email. The role requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately manage training data within the UTrain Learning Management System (LMS). This position plays a key role in supporting ESHQ training requirements for employees supporting the expansion of TA-55 operations. As operational tempo and workforce demand increase, the Training Coordinator ensures training registration, scheduling, and organization are effectively managed to maintain compliance and support mission execution. Training Coordinators support classroom and facility operations, prepare training materials, proctor examinations, and provide classroom support. The position involves frequent communication with internal customers and stakeholders, including large email distributions, and requires the ability to analyze training requirements, resolve issues, and prioritize work under limited direction. Job Duties Assures safety and security compliance and integrates safety and security into all work activities. Provides training registration services. Serves as a proctor for tests and quizzes. Prepares and assembles training materials as needed. Compiles and maintains training records. Manages classrooms and the training facility. Utilizes LMS and records management systems to track and report training. Assigns and manages training plans. Adheres to institutional training policies and applicable programs. Communicates professionally with customers and stakeholders, including large audiences. Supports training management and course managers with a variety of coordination and administrative actions. Training Coordinator 3 $59,200 - $91,600 In addition to the responsibilities of Training Coordinator 2, the Training Coordinator 3 independently resolves complex training coordination, compliance, and records management issues requiring in-depth analysis, judgment, and creativity. The incumbent works with minimal direction and exercises significant latitude in determining objectives, methods, and procedures. This level coordinates activities of other training coordinators or support staff, develops and manages complex training plans, evaluates training data and reporting outputs, researches regulatory or industry changes, and contributes to the improvement of training processes and methodologies. Additional Duties - Training Coordinator 3 Level Manages complex training plans. Independently resolves complex training coordination and compliance issues. Coordinates and prioritizes work of training coordinators or support staff. Trains and mentors training coordinators and support personnel. Evaluates training data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Researches regulatory or industry changes and recommends practical solutions. Contributes to improvements in training coordination processes and methodologies. What You Need Minimum Job Requirements: Working knowledge of Laboratory policies and procedures pertaining to training. Awareness of DOE orders and standards pertaining to training. Additional Job Requirements for Training Coordinator 3: Comprehensive knowledge of Laboratory policies and procedures pertaining to training. In-depth knowledge of Department of Energy (DOE) orders and standards pertaining to training. Comprehensive knowledge of the Laboratory's Learning Management System or related information data systems. Analytical and problem solving techniques and processes. Education/Experience at the Training Coordinator 2 Level: Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years related experience. Education/Experience at the Training Coordinator 3 Level: Position requires an Associate's Degree and 4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Desired Qualifications: Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments where accuracy and deadlines matter. Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and complete work independently. Strong customer service skills with experience communicating professionally to large or complex audiences. Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team, maintain a positive attitude, and support shared goals. Experience identifying process gaps and contributing practical improvements to workflows or coordination practices.
