Field Operations CoordinatorLocated: Los Alamitos, CAPay: $56k-$70k base + full benefits + 401k matchingPosition OverviewThe Field Operations Coordinator will organize and oversee daily field activities to ensure projects are executed safely, on time and within budget. This role acts as the central point of contact between field crews and office teams, managing manpower scheduling, enforcing labor rules, maintaining OSHA compliance, and driving operational efficiency across multiple sites.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and dispatch field crews, equipment and materials to meet project schedules and priorities.Create, maintain and adjust manpower schedules; track worker availability, shift coverage and timekeeping.Ensure compliance with federal, state and local labor rules and collective bargaining agreements; address scheduling and work rule disputes.Implement and enforce OSHA and company safety policies; conduct/site safety inspections and pre-job briefings.Monitor field progress and productivity; collect and report daily project metrics and key performance indicators to management.Maintain accurate field documentation, including time sheets, incident reports, permits and safety records.Facilitate communication between project managers, supervisors, subcontractors and clients to resolve operational issues quickly.Coordinate onboarding, safety training and refresher sessions for field personnel; verify certifications and qualifications.Manage contractor and subcontractor coordination, scopes of work and compliance with site rules.Support incident response and investigations, document findings and follow up on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Business, Logistics or related field, or equivalent work experience.3+ years of experience in field operations, construction coordination or a similar role.Demonstrated knowledge of labor rules, union agreements and workforce scheduling best practices.Familiarity with OSHA regulations and proven experience enforcing safety standards on job sites (OSHA 10/30 preferred).Experience with manpower scheduling tools, timekeeping systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).Strong communication, conflict resolution and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.Valid drivers license and ability to travel regularly to field sites; willingness to work occasional early mornings, evenings or weekends as needed.Ability to read job plans and interpret site documentation; attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.Benefits$56k-$70k base pay401kGenerous PTO / flex vacation policyStrong benefits package (quality health insurance, robust retirement plans, dental, vision) Voluntary insurance plansOngoing support for professional developmentReimbursement for completing coursework at accredited academic institutions
