Covenant College Job PostingTenure-Track Faculty Position in Ecology/Environmental Biology The Department of Biology at Covenant College, an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America and an academically rigorous Christian college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning July 1, 2026. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Teach a sophomore-level Ecology course, upper-level elective courses in ecology or environmental biology, and a lab science course for non-majors. Maintain and strengthen our existing consortial partnership with the Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies, and oversee Covenant's environmental stewardship and sustainability certificate program Engage in research, scholarship, and other professional activities Mentor and advise undergraduate students Participate in the life of the campus community and faculty governance Qualifications: A doctoral degree with specialization in ecology or environmental biology is required. Preference will be given to those candidates with teaching experience and interest in establishing an active field of research program with undergraduates that can take advantage of Covenant's land holdings and location in southern Appalachia.
