Plant Mechanic

Atlantic Coast Recycling is looking to add a Plant Mechanic to the team in Passaic, NJ.Pay for this role will be $31-36/hr depending on relevant experience As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:Perform repairs and inspections, safety checks, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulics on plant equipmentUtilize computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes to identify and adjust plant machineryRespond to emergency repairsReviewing and/or Completing or repairsCompleting required paperwork utilizing maintenance software programs.Testing machine after services and repairsHelping other team members with repairs as neededHaving professional and courteous interactions with all team membersMaintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.What we need from you:Troubleshoot and perform electrical and mechanical repairs as needed on the plant equipmentEnsure operation of the mechanical equipment and machinery by performing preventative maintenancePerform daily inspection of all equipment to minimize unforeseen breakdownsInstall wear parts on conveyors, screens, optical sorters,Adjusts work priorities as necessary to meet production needs.Ability to multi-task and work under limited supervisionAbility to perform physical requirements such as bending, reaching, stretching, and liftingMust be able to work in a noisy environmentBasic mechanic tools requiredMust comply with plant safety practicesWaste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
