Assembler 1W2 Contract to Possible HireMonday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pmLong Beach, CA $20/hrWe are seeking an Assembler I to be responsible for assembling parts and components according to our manufacturing operating procedures. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong attention to detail.Primary Responsibilities:Use hand and/or power tools (such as wire stripper, crimper, drills, soldering station) to assemble and/or package a complete product from scratch or sub-assembliesAcknowledge and communicate product rejects/non-conforming items to production leads to resolveReceive and maintain certified trained status for updated revisions in all relevant Production Lines and their individual stationsDocument production activities accurately and promptlyReport any issues or defects to the production lead/supervisor immediatelyFollow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programsCollaborate with team members and support cross-functional activities as neededWork schedule may include shifts and overtime as needed to meet production demandsConsistently maintain a clean and organized work environmentPerform other duties as assignedRequired Experience / Skills / Education:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in assembly or manufacturingAbility to read, understand, and follow work instructions (MOPs) and basic diagrams in English, as well as verbal instructions, to complete assignments in a timely mannerStrong work ethic, ability to take direction, and willingness to ask questions when clarity is neededGood manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAbility to stand, walk, and work with hands for extended periodsAbility to plan, track, and complete assignments in a timely mannerAbility to lift up to 50 lbs with assistanceDesired Qualifications:1 year of manufacturing/assembly experienceExperience with ISO 13485 or other quality management systemsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles
