Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Halfway Landfill Facility near Carlsbad, NM. If you have at least 1+ years of mechanic experience, particularly with heavy equipment or yellow iron, we encourage you to apply. Your Role Will Include: Diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment/yellow iron. Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems. Utilizing onboard computer systems to identify and resolve vehicle issues effectively. Completing work orders and maintaining documentation through our fleet maintenance software. Responding to emergency breakdowns and providing on-site service support. Ensuring a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment. Requirements: Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on mechanic experience. Must possess your own tools. Basic computer skills for diagnostics and documentation. Strong commitment to safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). What We Offer You: Competitive pay of $24-$28/hr.
