We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate 2nd Shift, Maintenance Technician. This position reports to Facilities Manager and will work in Litchfield This position will contribute to the daily maintenance and continuous improvement of the facility. General Responsibilities:Maintain and Repair production equipment and preform facility maintenance Maintain plant boilers (including chemical treatment), plant air compressors, and fork trucks Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on various production and utility equipment and apply RCA (Root Cause Analysis) techniques to improve and eliminate future problems Maintain facilities and equipment to meet ISO and OSHA procedures and policies Engage in continuous improvement efforts as they relate to equipment and process Work on projects (i.e. machining, fabrication, Capital projects and work with outside vendors) Perform Preventive Maintenance and repair of all production and building equipment Assist with new equipment installation and/or equipment relocation and modification What do we offer? Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Disability insurance (STD/LTD) 401 (k) with company match PTO Company defined holidays and two floating holidays for you to use as you choose Paid maternity/paternity leave Tuition assistance Membership reimbursement (wholesale club and gym) Employee discounts on our incredible products Opportunities to make an impact Skills & RequirementsCandidates with Electrical Journeyman certifications preferred 2 years of Industrial maintenance experience is preferred but not required (electrical troubleshooting, welding, machining, metal fabrication skills specific to stainless steel a plus) Experience with low and high voltage electrical systems Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Strong Electrical, PLC troubleshooting, Frequency Drives, and Servo experience/understanding is strongly preferred Knowledge of boiler, air & hydraulic, conveyor systems, motors, bearings, power transfer systems and gearbox systems preferred Understand the difference between AC/DC circuits as well as how to measure each of them Understand different circuits (ie; safety circuits, relay logic circuits, PLC, and start / stop circuits) Ability to safely understand and modify / repair, control wiring to enhance or update components. Ability to identify the major components in a control panel and describe what each does Able and willing to work from ladder and other elevated work areas Must pass the required job protocol physical test as administered by Apex Physical Therapy.
