Retail Pharmacy Manager - Lisbon, NY

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at a retail pharmacy location in Ogdensburg, NY. This position offers flexibility with either an interim engagement of 3-6 months or a permanent role, providing options for candidates seeking short-term commitment or long-term career growth. Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Sundays closed Key Responsibilities: Maintain registration as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations, keeping the pharmacy in good standing. Oversee the daily pharmacy operations including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory management, and third-party administration to meet financial objectives. Lead business development initiatives within the store and the local community. Manage pharmacy staff performance, training, and adherence to regulatory policies. Facilitate patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. Provide counseling to patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, dosage, interactions, and side effects. Participate in quality improvement programs geared toward patient safety. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and department environment compliant with legal and company standards. Complete required continuing education as per state law. Qualifications: Valid New York State pharmacist license. Immunization certification with comfort in administering all types of vaccines. Previous Pharmacy Manager experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Additional Information: Relocation assistance is available for permanent candidates willing to relocate to the Ogdensburg area.
