Job Description:

This full-time Security Officer role involves patrolling facilities and affiliated locations, identifying and reporting safety and fire hazards, and responding promptly to emergency situations involving disorderly or combative individuals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular patrols of all buildings and grounds, including off-site affiliates. Respond to emergency calls, assisting in controlling situations that may require physical intervention and exposure to various hazards. Investigate incidents such as theft, assault, and violations of restraining orders. Provide assistance to motorists, pedestrians, and visitors on the premises. Lead and facilitate required safety trainings and emergency drills. Maintain compliance with privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI). Foster effective communication and professional relationships with patients, team members, contractors, physicians, and external agencies. Education and Experience: Prior experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Corrections, or Hospital care is required. Preferred: 1-5 years of experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections, Military, or Security-related fields. Trade School diploma or certificate is a plus. Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license from the state of residence is required. Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills including data entry and report writing. Strong verbal communication and de-escalation techniques. Self-defense training and physical capability to perform very heavy work, including occasional lifting over 100 lbs and standing or walking for most of the shift. This position does not include people management responsibilities. Candidates should be prepared to work a 3 PM to 11 PM shift and demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the healthcare organization they serve.
