As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will report to the VP of Operations and oversee a team of up to 15 people. Daily, you will be responsible for the following tasks:Operational Oversight: Manages the daily operations and overall conditions of assigned warehouses to ensure results align with company performance goals and customer expectations.Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Develops and implements hazardous materials management programs, safety protocols, and health programs (such as Spills Response and Chemical Hygiene) to meet legal mandates.Financial Management: Monitors cost controls to achieve financial targets, manages labor utilization to minimize costs, and prepares capital expenditure proposals to upgrade facilities or equipment.Quality & Continuous Improvement: Maintains and audits Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ISO standards while instilling a continuous improvement approach across all warehouse functions.Team Leadership & Coaching: Conducts performance appraisals, develops succession plans, and provides professional leadership to foster a stable work environment and minimize employee turnover.Customer & Business Development: Acts as the primary point of contact for customer issues and assists with business development initiatives, including contract negotiations and customer visits.Facility & Asset Maintenance: Oversees the maintenance of facilities and equipment, identifying when assets are obsolete or require remodeling based on operational needs.Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment while holding others accountable, be professional, and able to handle pressure while finding ways to make processes better. REQUIREMENTS for the Warehouse Supervisor:A minimum of a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferredMinimum of 2-5 years of similar warehouse management experienceExperience in warehousing chemical and HAZMAT-related materialsSupervision experience in non-union work environmentsExperience working with an ERP or WMS systemMicrosoft Office, specifically ExcelSkills preferred but NOT required:Experience overseeing direct and indirect reportsKnowledge of QMS systems, specifically ISO, would be idealSara reportingStrong safety and quality backgroundBudget or P&L management3PL experienceWhy work for this organization:??
