Public Works Laborer

The Ligonier Township Public Works Department is seeking a permanent, full-time laborer. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of maintenance work and operate various equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of Township street and storm drainage facilities. This includes, but not limited to, routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment, performing duties in conformance to safety and security standards, inspection and/or repair streets and drainage systems. The candidate must possess a valid PA license and snow plowing experience is a plus. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds. The pay rate is $19.15 per hour to start. Benefits include health/dental/vision/life insurance/pension and a generous amount of time off.
