DescriptionHighlights of the roleEPCOR is on the lookout for a Water Operator II or III at our Sandow Water Treatment Plant near Lexington, TX. This role offers an exciting opportunity for skilled professionals to contribute to the vital task of water treatment in a dynamic and 24/7/365, in a rotating shift environment, staffed facility. What you'll be responsible for Operate high level water treatment equipment such as Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration Skids and Cold Lime Softening systems, groundwater wells, remote stations and reservoirsPerform extensive laboratory analysisMaintain, calibrate, and verify continuous on-line water quality analyzersPerform operations, maintenance, and control work on water treatment plant, chlorination equipment, pump control valves, various pressure control valvesInstall and make repairs on piping, valves, and other components of water treatment plantPerform facility, well, and remote site roundsAnalyze data and communicate results effectivelyParticipate in process control strategies and implementationPerform construction and fabrication at facilityMaintain landscaping as neededOperate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, trenchers, backhoes, bucket-lifts and dump trucks as requiredWhat's required to be successful High school diploma or equivalent required2+ years of related experience with field maintenance, water or wastewater plant maintenance, or other mechanical maintenance experienceExperience with mechanical maintenance and repair of pumps, compressors, engines and related equipment at a water or wastewater facilityTCEQ Class A, B, C or D water license requiredKnowledge of water systems and associated maintenance necessitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and OutlookWillingness and ability to increase knowledge in maintenance area operations including equipment operation and useValid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving recordWhy EPCOR?We offer more than just a job - we offer a career with purpose.
