For more information, visit or follow Carrier on social media at @Carrier.About This RoleThis position supervises a team of production employees in Materials & Logistics and sets day-to-day activities involving storing and shipping products, conducts inventory control and prepares reports and manuals. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, packaging and preservation, inventory control, logistics, training, planning, employee performance evaluations and problem solving in a warehouse operations environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with warehouse inventory accuracy and keep records of the inventoryLead clerical team of indirect support team members, including but not limited to inventory, logistics, planning plete daily safety inspectionsAssist with quality issues and provide recommendations for resolutionMonitor yard trailer movement and radio communicationSupport continuous improvement efforts and recommend measures to improve production, quality, and safetyPartner with union leadership to quickly resolve issues and drive a high-performance cultureEnsure compliance with standard operating procedures, safety rules, and regulationsEffectively manage hourly associates and achieve employee engagement objectivesUse Cx (Continuous Improvement) tools to improve production and quality opportunities and correct deficiencies as they occurEnsure EH&S standards and administrative procedures are followedMust be able to work all shifts in a 24-hour operation with weekend overtime as requiredRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED3+ years of experience managing or supervising in a warehousing, production, and/or planning environmentPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree, Associate degree, or Diploma in related field.Experience motivating, coaching and leading hourly associates, preferably in a union environmentProven leadership abilities that drive results with a sense of urgencySupervisory experience in materials workforce or shipping/receiving operations with proven leadership skills and experienceResult oriented with ability to multitask and handle deadlines in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles preferredDemonstrate sound leadership skills with a sense of urgency to obtain resultsAbility to effectively work cross functionally with various groups including Materials, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics Center, Finance, HR, EH&S, etc.Proficient in the use of PC and software applications*Carrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
