Interrogates, interprets, and re-programs cardiac devices, providing full disclosure reports for physician approval and entry to EMR. Monitors heart failure reports remotely for ICD and CRT devices monthly, providing full disclosure reports to the cardiologist per notification protocol for approval and entry to EMR. Evaluates remote alerts daily from all device websites, retrieves and triages information, and prepares full disclosure reports for physician approval based on notification protocols. Determines when adequate test results have been obtained and consults supervisor when results are not adequate. Communicates critical findings to supervisor or physician directly and immediately. Schedules device interrogation appointments correctly based on global periods to support safe device follow-up care. Ensures all charges are entered accurately daily, including correct diagnosis codes. May require travel to multiple cardiology arrhythmia service locations. Performs other duties as assigned.
