Job Title: Safety Manager Location: Lebanon, IN Start Date: Mid to late March 2026 Employment Type: 1099 Contractor Duration: 12+ months Compensation? Local Rate: $52 to $60 per hour ? Traveler Rate: $50 to $52 per hour ? Per Diem: $125 per day ? Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule? Hours: Approximately 40 to 50 hours per week ? Work Schedule: Monday through Friday ⏰ Shift: 1st shift, 8 or 10-hour days Project OverviewThis assignment provides full-time, on-site safety support for a mechanical contractor on a new pharmaceutical plant project in Lebanon, Indiana. The Safety Manager will serve as second in command to the Lead Safety Manager and work closely with the General Contractor and Owner to support daily construction safety operations. Scope of WorkPrimary activities include, but are not limited to:• Safety oversight for mechanical construction activities • Support of new hire safety orientations • Review and support of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) • Observe and report field safety oversight • Lead and attend safety meetings • Support incident and accident investigations • Coordinate directly with the GC and Owner representatives Key Responsibilities• Maintain a strong on-site field presence during active work hours • Support and enforce OSHA standards and site-specific safety programs • Identify, communicate, and assist in correcting unsafe conditions or behaviors • Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and task-specific briefings • Partner with field supervision, GC leadership, and Owner representatives • Complete safety reports, inspections, and required documentation • Promote a proactive, collaborative safety culture Qualifications✠OSHA 510 required with 5+ years of experience ✠OSHA 30 completed within the past 5 years ✠General construction safety experience preferred ✠Experience with incident and accident investigations ✠Prior experience supporting iron workers preferred ✠Semiconductor and or pharmaceutical project experience preferred ✠Clean room experience is a major plus ✠Minimum of 4 years of safety management experience ✠Experience working directly with Owner representatives ✠Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills ✠Ability to communicate effectively with field crews and executive project stakeholders Ideal Candidate ProfileThis role is well-suited for an experienced Safety Manager who thrives in a field-forward environment and is comfortable serving in a support leadership role on a complex pharmaceutical construction project.
