Position Summary and Key ResponsibilitiesMcKendree University is seeking a personable and professional individual to serve as Graduate Assistant Box Office Manager for the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts in Lebanon, Illinois. The graduate assistant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the box office and assisting patrons with ticket orders and inquiries. Tuition and hourly rate of pay is a benefit of this position.ResponsibilitiesOperate the Box Office weekdays from 12 pm to 4 pm, assisting patrons with ticket orders and inquiries via phone, email, and in-personOperate the Box Office for all ticketed eventsPrint and organize Will-Call tickets prior to every performancePrepare mail orders for shipment dailyDeliver outgoing mail to the Mail Room and collect mail from the Hett mailbox and distribute it to appropriate personMaintain patron data in the Hett's online ticketing system, AudienceView CampusTrain student workers in Box Office functions, enabling them to assist during events or in the Box Office Manager's absenceWork alongside the Marketing Graduate Assistant on special projects, contributing to marketing and promotional efforts as neededPerform other duties as assigned, supporting the overall operations of the Box Office and the organization QualificationsRequired Qualifications:A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and acceptance into a master's program at McKendree University is required.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Previous customer service experience.Excellent communication skills, capable of effective conversations over the phone, in person, or via email.Ability to handle cash transactions and provide correct change.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with ticketing systems, particularly Audience View CampusExperience in a similar role within an arts or entertainment setting Work Conditions Availability to work some evenings and weekends, as required.
