Laurens Central School  PreK-12 Building Principal The Laurens Central School District is seeking an energetic, student-centered, visionary individual to serve as PreK-12 Building Principal.  The successful candidate must hold a valid NYS Building Level Administration Certification and have a minimum of 5 years of teaching/administrative experience. Salary begins at $90,000, negotiable based on experience.  The PreK–12 Building Principal serves as the instructional leader and chief administrator responsible for the overall management and success of the school. This position provides leadership in developing and maintaining a positive learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students from pre-kindergarten through grade twelve. The Principal supervises and evaluates instructional staff, promotes effective teaching practices, and ensures alignment with district curriculum, policies, and state regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing daily school operations, student discipline, staff development, scheduling, and school safety procedures. The Principal collaborates with teachers, support staff, families, and community members to foster strong relationships and open communication. The role also involves managing budgets, resources, and building facilities to support educational programs.
