Job Description:
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team in Laurel, MD.Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to:Configure, query, and manage PostgreSQL and other SQL database systems to ensure optimal data flowDiagnose and resolve complex technical issues across all layers of the OSI modelMonitor automated tasks and maintain scripting workflows utilizing GIT repositoriesDemonstrate proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Omnissa Horizon and VMware environmentsAutomate account provisioning, disabling and archiving using PowerShell, Bash and Python scriptingConduct Nessus scanning and execute targeted remediation strategies to maintain system integrityLeverage Splunk to monitor host performance, identify reporting errors, and resolve configuration issuesSupport day-to=day operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting for client, server, and network devicesCollaborate on evening patching cycles and provide reliable availability during core coverage hours (6AM-6PM) Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience or an associate’s degree and fifteen 15 years of relevant experience or 20 years with a high school diplomaIAT I certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include A+ CE/CCNA-Security/CND/Network+ CE /CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP)Experience with providing comprehensive help desk support, from initial triage and diagnosis to advanced problem resolutionExperience with compiling software, resolving build errors, and managing dependencies within Git repositoriesExperience deploying virtual machines and managing configurations using Puppet and AnsibleExperience with remote console monitoring and Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) protocolsPreferred Qualifications: Basic understanding of integrating and utilizing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) Experience with troubleshooting CISCO routers/switches/firewallsExperience with STE requirements and how to implement themClearance Requirements: Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.Must be a US CitizenPhysical Requirements: The candidate should be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer’s desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
