Job Details Division: Nucor Buildings Group West LLC Location: Lathrop, CA, United States Salary Range: $103,000-137,000 Return on Asset Eligible: Up to 33% of annual eligible earnings Profit Share 5"‘year Average: 20.17% of eligible yearling earnings Responsibilities Design all aspects of metal building systems, including structural steel, wall and roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing. Develop safe and economical structures that fulfill project requirements while adhering to industry codes and standards. Utilize proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance. Collaborate with the detailing department and other team members to communicate design requirements effectively and ensure seamless project execution. Review and check structural drawings for accuracy. Engage in continuous learning and collaboration across the division to find innovative solutions. Work in"‘office for training and onboarding; hybrid role requiring on"‘site work at the plant multiple days a week. Demonstrate ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET"‘accredited school. Strong knowledge of structural building codes: IBC, ASIC 360, ASIC 341, ASIC 358, ASCE7, AISI, etc. Professional Engineer registration in the United States or 3-5 years of structural design experience. Proficient verbal and written communication in English. Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications Background in the Pre"‘Engineered Metal Building industry. Structural Engineer registration in the United States. Proficiency with industry"‘standard or proprietary metal building design software packages. Leadership experience.
